Who
we are
At EmpowerGen we focus on creating an environment that helps children reach their fullest potential. We have the vision to empower, we deliver opportunities to thrive, and we create the network to make it happen.
And we’ve been around for awhile…our founder, Linda Bonfanti, and her team of amazing volunteers have been making an impact in our communities for over 30 years. EmpowerGen was created to harness that energy and experience to shine a light on nonprofits doing great things for our community and their youth.

Children are the force that motivates every member of our organization We honor the intrinsic dignity, potential. and worth of each child. We are committed to serving them, and in that spirit, we freely give of our time, energy, and resources
We have a bias toward action
Ideas and conversations drive inspiration, but action drives change. We strive to bring the best of what we have into realization, working to remove obstacles, and do our best to deliver that to the children of our communities.
We build and support communities and partnerships
Our communities and our partners will achieve more working with us collectively than individually. We are a cohesive unit, working towards our shared mission, without personal agendas. We are committed to creating synergy by encouraging each other and working collaboratively.
We participate meaningfully
We are all-in on everything we decide we want to do. Focused on the outcomes means we all participate in a meaningful way in driving the outcomes we all seek.
We seek to drive lasting impact
Each and every effort, project, interaction, partnership, initiative exists to support our ultimate vision. Everything we do aligns with driving some sort of lasting impact to a child, a partner, and a community.
We look for inspiration everywhere
We believe that in order to be the change we expect, we need to look for inspiration all around us. We work in an open collaborative, supportive environment that is hungry for ideas and inspiration for everywhere and anywhere we can find it – and we are always looking.
Our Work
Outreach Projects
We seek out opportunities to help youth in our communities when there is a need that may not be addressed by our nonprofit partner network.
Examples include our annual Prom Dress Boutique event, our networking Sip and Shop events, gathering and distributing much-needed personal items and Christmas gifts for displaced youth, and many others.

Our Nonprofit Partners
We are always on the hunt for those nonprofits whose causes address the needs of youth, from cradle to college.
EmpowerGen works with our partners to provide much needed resources, whether that comes in the form of direct financial support, volunteer support, finding needed in-kind donations, or whatever kind of support personnel can provide.
